Scheduled for a worldwide release on June 19, the film has reportedly recovered its entire investment through theatrical and non-theatrical deals, placing it comfortably in the profit zone ahead of release. Producer Himank Duvvuru officially confirmed the development, highlighting the strong business the film has generated across various distribution channels. Industry estimates suggest that the project was made on a budget of around ₹25–30 crore, making its pre-release recovery an impressive achievement.
The film’s commercial performance before release is being viewed as a significant milestone, especially for a female-led Telugu film. With streaming, satellite, and theatrical rights attracting considerable interest from buyers, the makers have managed to close key deals even before audiences get to watch the movie. Directed by Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaram marks her third collaboration with Samantha after Jabardasth and Oh! Baby. The filmmaker revealed that Samantha herself brought the project to her and expressed complete faith in the story. Promising a never-seen-before avatar of the actress, Nandini said audiences will witness Samantha in a far more powerful role than ever before. The film also carries added significance as it marks Samantha’s return to a full-fledged lead role on the big screen after a gap of nearly three years. Following her appearances in Citadel: Honey Bunny and a cameo in her home production Shubham, expectations are riding high on this much-awaited comeback vehicle.
